The head of the Estonian Food Industry Association, Sirje Potisepp<\/strong>, and the Minister of Regional and Agricultural Affairs, Hendrik Johannes Terras<\/strong>, recognized Liviko\u2019s factory manager Kalev Pukk<\/strong> with the \u201cS\u00fcdamega tegija\u201d (Person with Heart) <\/strong>title. Pukk has been responsible for the organization of Liviko\u2019s factory operations for nearly 30 years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kalev Pukk said the recognition came as a complete surprise. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou just do your everyday work, but apparently others have noticed that this job truly suits me. Great colleagues and interesting work inspire me \u2014 I listen, explain, and when necessary, I step in and work hands-on in production myself. Our people come along with new ideas, and that gives me energy to move toward our goals,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minister Terras emphasized that the strength of Estonia\u2019s food and beverage sector lies in people who know their work and do it wholeheartedly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cKalev Pukk is a genuine example of how dedication and skill ensure the continuity of domestic industry. People like him are the reason Estonian products are trusted and valued both at home and abroad,\u201d Terras stated. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Liviko\u2019s CEO Janek Kalvi<\/strong> added: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe \u2018S\u00fcdamega tegija\u2019 recognition went to exactly the right person. Kalev\u2019s professionalism, experience, and kindness make him a highly valued colleague you can always rely on. Production requires precision, commitment, and well-considered action \u2014 these qualities define both Kalev and his team.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are more than 1,000 food and beverage companies in Estonia<\/strong>, employing over 14,000 people<\/strong>. According to Head of the Estonian Food Industry Association Sirje Potisepp<\/strong>, a strong and sustainable domestic industry would not be possible without skilled and experienced workers who understand technology, quality standards, and production processes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAll finalists have been long-term employees \u2014 many for more than 30 years. Their knowledge and skills are of immense value,\u201d said Potisepp. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kalev joined Liviko in 1996<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIn the early years, I even read Finnish technical journals, which helped me contribute ideas on how to fit new production equipment into Liviko\u2019s then 100-year-old factory building and plan the interior design. At Liviko, I\u2019ve always had the opportunity to participate in decisions about what equipment to acquire and how to organize production more effectively,\u201d he noted. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
