Vana Tallinn\u2019s new bottle and label take inspiration from the rooftops and vaulted passageways of Tallinn\u2019s Old Town. Liviko worked with UK design agency Stranger & Stranger to create a new look for one of Estonia\u2019s most widely exported brands. The taste of the award-winning and much-loved Vana Tallinn liqueur remains unchanged.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The result is still Vana Tallinn, but with a more modern and elegant appearance. The Vana Tallinn bottle evokes a mediaeval tower in Tallinn\u2019s Old Town. The new design retains the familiar roof tiles of Tallinn\u2019s Old Town towers, while the new arched label and the curved forms of the bottle itself echo the Old Town\u2019s medieval vaulted passageways. An embossed glass seal on the front of the bottle echoes the mediaeval wax seals once used to authenticate important documents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vana Tallinn\u2019s colour palette draws on the architecture of Tallinn\u2019s Old Town, with the bottle cap taking its terracotta hue from the Old Town rooftops. The towers and rooftops have also inspired the colours of the labels. The 35%, 40% and 45% vol labels come in oxidised copper, terracotta and deep red respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Vana Tallinn label was last redesigned in 2017 in collaboration with a French agency. The distinctive bottle, inspired by the towers of Tallinn\u2019s Old Town, was introduced in 1965 and last redesigned in 1999. Vana Tallinn liqueur itself was created in 1960.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The taste of Vana Tallinn has remained unchanged over the years, and the liqueur is made exclusively from natural ingredients. It takes almost a month to produce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jamaican rum, aromatic spices, citrus and caramel give the liqueur its smooth, exotic flavour. Cinnamon bark lends it an intriguing bitterness and spicy aroma. Vanilla pods, orange, lemon and bitter orange oils, a touch of cinnamon and rum come together to create its unique flavour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Founded in 1898, Liviko is a fast-developing international company that sells its own products in more than 70 markets and represents leading international premium alcohol brands in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Liviko\u2019s production and head office are based in Tallinn, with branch offices in Riga and Vilnius. One of the largest alcohol companies in the Baltics, Liviko places equal emphasis on production and the export and import of alcoholic beverages. Liviko Group employs 270 people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
