Vana Tallinn liqueurs, Crafter’s gin, and three of Liviko’s non-alcoholic drinks – Ginger Duke, Corsaro Aperitivo, and Vana Tallinn Glögi – were acknowledged in the competition, where a record-breaking 167 drinks from 48 beverage producers participated.
Liviko’s Vana Tallinn Coffee Espresso achieved the highest recognition in the liqueurs and berry spirits category, securing the overall win. This award-winning liqueur is a blend of Jamaican rum, warming spices, fresh citrus fruits, and bitter espresso. Almost like a delightful dessert that has been infused with the legendary liqueur, Vana Tallinn Tiramisu Cream earned an honourable bronze medal in the same category.
The distinctive Estonian craft gin, Crafter’s London Dry Gin, received a gold medal in the category of best London dry and dry gins.
Among the top non-alcoholic drinks, two Liviko products – Ginger Duke and Corsaro Aperitivo – also earned gold medals.
This year, two Liviko products secured silver medals – alcohol-free Vana Tallinn Glögi in the aromatised beverages category and Viru Valge Vodka Festive edition among the best vodkas.
This year’s competition, organised by the Estonian Sommelier Association, saw a historic participation of 167 different drinks from 48 beverage producers. The evaluation panel, consisting of 26 renowned sommeliers, bartenders, journalists and other experts, conducted blind tastings. During the competition, evaluators had access to limited information to maintain the product’s anonymity. Simplifying the tasting process, drinks were categorised based on flavour profiles and nature, with the best in each category identified.
