As an international company committed to promoting conscious and responsible drinking, we actively advocate for a healthy drinking culture across the Baltics. Year after year, we support and contribute to the training efforts of sommelier and bartender associations in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

In 2022, Liviko’s sommeliers and trainers conducted over 500 hours of awareness-raising training on drinking culture, benefiting 2350 adults.

To provide exquisite taste experiences, we create non-alcoholic alternatives for social gatherings and are committed to increasing the presence of non-alcoholic beverages in both our product portfolio and the brands we represent. Moreover, we participate in the responsible alcohol consumption campaign “If you’re drinking, drink some water too!” launched by the Estonian Association of Alcohol Producers and Importers.

Liviko’s beverages are produced sustainably. We meticulously design and analyse every stage of the production process to ensure the most sustainable consumption and production methods.

Our goal is to contribute to the shared aim of the European Union and Estonia to achieve climate neutrality by 2050. We are actively working towards achieving Liviko Net Zero CO2 emissions by 2030. Between 2015 and 2022, we have already managed to decrease our CO2 emissions by 60%.

In line with our commitment to sustainability, all our electricity comes from renewable sources, verified by the Powered by Green certificate. Our efforts to preserve the environment are achieved through collaboration with Elektrum Eesti.

We are dedicated to using sustainable, recyclable packaging. A significant portion of the glass bottles for our products is sourced from the Järvakandi glass factory, located just 85 km from Liviko’s production facility. We take pride in our support for the local glass industry and are pleased that nearly half of the raw materials used to make bottles come from recycled glass. We continually seek ways to reduce our ecological footprint. Through innovative bottle design, we have reduced the amount of glass used in Crafter’s and Hõbe Vodka glass bottles by up to a third.

Furthermore, we actively explore smart solutions for creating multifunctional and durable marketing materials.

We have developed a unique method for recycling the juniper berries and extract leftover from gin distillation. This new process has led to the creation of Re-crafted Crafter’s Junibeer drinks, made by reusing residual juniper extract from Crafter’s gin production. The juniper berries left over from distillation find a new purpose at the Andre Farm, where they serve as a key ingredient in Crafter’s Juniper cheese.

Because we distil ginger only once every six months and in small batches, our ginger drink, Re-crafted Crafter’s Gingeroot, is only available twice a year at Liviko’s factory store. This aligns with our philosophy of recycling and sustainability, according to which we utilise the valuable raw materials to their fullest. Sometimes, this means using them more than once.

We believe in sharing Liviko’s recycling technology with the world, encouraging individuals and businesses to embrace environmentally friendly practices. After all, the environment and nature belong to us all!

Liviko places great value on local culture and traditions, and directing support towards socially and culturally meaningful projects is of special importance. We allocate 5 per cent of company profits to cultural initiatives.

We actively advocate for a responsible and conscious drinking culture, partnering with the responsible alcohol consumption campaign, “If you’re drinking, drink some water too!” We also offer beverage training courses and organise the Vana Tallinn Grand Prix competition to select the best sommelier in the Baltics. Liviko recognises its role and responsibility as a commercial enterprise and acknowledges the impact of its activities on society.

Our support extends to professional associations, including the sommelier and bartender associations in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

In collaboration with the Estonian Bartenders Association, we host a professional competition for bartenders to further their skills – the Old Tallinn Speed Round.

Liviko also collaborates with prestigious cultural institutions, such as the Art Museum of Estonia, the Estonian Artists’ Association and the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra. In partnership with the Estonian National Opera, we proudly host the annual opera gala, Vana Tallinn Gala. We also support the Saaremaa Opera Days and the New Year’s concert by Rémy Martin and Eesti Kontsert.

As the gold sponsor for the Estonian Yachting Union, we helped bring Estonian sailing athletes to the Tokyo Olympic Games. In addition, we support the coaching and aspirations of the best young athletes at the Tallinn Yacht Club. Last but not least, Liviko takes pride in having re-initiated and continuing to support the Estonian Writers’ Union’s novel competition.
