Viru Valge was recognised as the Best Estonian Food 2010 in the alcohol category
Estonia’s best known quality vodka Viru Valge was recognised as the Best Estonian Food in the alcohol category today. This was already the third competition win for the renewed Viru Valge; it has previously received two design awards.
“We are glad that Viru Valge with its renewed content and appearance has already been awarded for the best package and label at the Golden Egg and the ADCE design competitions. The highest acknowledgment at the Best Estonian Food competition makes our happiness and satisfaction with the renewed product perfect,” said Janek Kalvi, Chairman of the Board of AS Liviko.
AS Liviko renewed and improved the production technology of its prime vodka Viru Valge in the autumn of 2009, resulting in a milder and more neutral taste and flavour owing to innovative carbon filtering.
The advertising agency Vatson Wunderman designed an original embossed bottle and a renewed label for AS Liviko’s Viru Valge.
The new design and content have already significantly boosted the export of Viru Valge as an Estonian national brand product.
Founded in 1898, AS Liviko is a producer of high-quality alcohol. It has a well-developed distribution and wholesale network in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, through which it markets not only its own products but also imported brands from the world’s other producers of quality alcohol. Liviko is one of the three biggest alcohol companies in the Baltic states, placing as much emphasis on imports as it does on production. AS Liviko employs 201 people in Estonia, 97 in Latvia and 76 in Lithuania.
