The 112th season of Estonian National Opera opened with the Vana Tallinn Gala

The brightest stars of Estonian and international opera enchanted the audience at the Vana Tallinn Gala. The audience welcomed warmly guest soprano Francesca Sorteni and tenor Luc Roberti from Italy and bass Oleg Budaratski from Russia. Classical music lovers were delighted with the spectacular performance given by our own opera stars soprano Heli Veskus, mezzosoprano Helen Lokuta and baritone Jassi Zahharov.

The Estonian National Opera choir and orchestra conducted by Vello Pähn also participated at the gala. They performed music from operas by world famous composers such as Verdi, Puccini, Tchaikovsky, Bizet and Strauss.

The Vana Tallinn Gala has developed into an eagerly anticipated musical event among opera lovers, and it is organised by Estonian National Opera with Liviko as the main sponsor for the fifth year running. Music lovers from South Estonia also got to enjoy the Vana Tallinn Gala with world-class opera classics performed on the stage of Vanemuine.

Besides supporting Estonian National Opera, AS Liviko promotes Estonian culture by sponsoring the Estonian Art Museum, Estonian Writers’ Union Novel Competition and other cultural events.
